Volume One of the Perkins Institution for the Blind 1855 raised letter edition of Milton's works, this volume containing the first nine books only of "Paradise Lost"; embossed in Boston Line Letter on one side of the page; stacked paper spacers between pages; case binding; cover features a brown, blue, and pink marbled paper cover stock, dark brown leather corner tabs and spine wrapping, green endpapers; outlines of individual types are occasionally visible throughout in the embossing.
