Demonstrator hardback large print book, one side printed in color, the other side flipped 180 degrees and in black and white; cover is from a 4th grade social studies textbook "World: Adventures in Time and Place," and features the death mask of Egyptian pharoah Tutankhamun; interior features sample pages from various math, science and social studies texts.

Xerox introduced its Docucolor 40 high speed color copier in late 1996, the first such machine on the market . APH tested the Docucolor 40 in 1997 in its large type division. This book was produced for Don Keefe, head of the APH Development Department, as a tool to sell the idea of color printing of textbooks to potential funders. APH eventually purchased a Docucolor 40 to produce color book covers.
