Scope & Content:
Mitzi Friedlander started narrating audio books at the American Printing House for the Blind in the early 1960s. She describes the narration process; talks briefly about recognition/awards she has received (including the Didymus Award for being the first narrator to read over 1,000 titles for the Talking Book Program of the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped); identifies titles that she most enjoyed narrating, and also those that were most challenging; describes changes in recording technology; and identifies many people that she has worked with in the APH Talking Book Studio.
