Scope & Content:
Phil Moore joined the American Printing House for the Blind (APH) in 1981. He talks about his job as the company's Operations Planning Manager, as well as work done previously in other APH departments, including the Talking Book Studio, where he first worked in quality control, the Mastering and Electroplating Departments, which he supervised, and Educational Aids, when inventory control and a warehouse system were established. He is also asked about Joe's Garage, an in-house group of employees who reviewed and recommended business management software for the company; recalls hazardous materials issues when electroplating was still in use; and recounts some amusing moments at APH.
