Marks Writing Guide for the Blind
Description:
Guide has two parallel metal rods for guiding handwriting. Rods are attached to a small carriage that slides up and down along a notched stationary metal rod mounted vertically on the front left of a masonite board. Carriage pivots, allowing movable rod section to be lifted up for placement of paper; board has paper clamp at top.
Also included, a booklet entitled "Teaching the Blind Script-Writing by the Marks Method: A Manual," developed by Anna S. Marks and Robert A. Marks, published by the American Foundation for the Blind, revised edition, 1956, Educational Series, No. 8.
Writing guide and booklet are stored in the original cardboard box in which the guide was distributed.
