Louisville, KY
Provenance:
APH introduced its plastic pocket slate in 1965-66, and produced over 14,000 in that first year. In 1972, the catalog noted that raised ribs had been added to the plastic slate to increase its strength. Mold marks on this item suggest that the plastic was poured below ideal temperature resulting in the stress marks as it cooled. The unpigmented color suggests a prototype or test.
