The guide has two parallel rods attached to a small carriage that can be moved up and down at regular intervals along a larger rod attached to a masonite board. Paper is held in place by a metal clamp at the top of the board. "Marks Writing Guide Pat. 2530437" --inscribed on metal clamp. Includes operating instructions, a product brochure, and a product registration card.
