Provenance:
Oscar Picht (1871-1945) was the director of the Provincial School for the Blind in Bromberg, Germany, from 1910-1920, when he invented his braille shorthand machine. He held multiple German Braillewriter patents. Used for taking notes on 1/2 in. wide paper tape.
