Description:
The writer has a hard plastic base and is made of highly polished metal. Dots 1, 2, and 3 under ring, middle, and index fingers of right hand. Dots 4, 5, and 6 similarly located for the left hand. A metal plate on the top reads "Light Brailler." There is an inscription on the bottom in Japanese. Serial number is 21586. Item has a lightweight blue metal case.

This is one of the writers-sometimes called "crab writers" for their sideways motion-in which keys and carriage move together across the paper. It is a downward writing model and the finger used for dot six is used for dot one. It moves from right to left. It is capable of interlining.
