Cubarithm has black plastic frame with 16 cells vertically and horizontally for a total of 256; (96) ninety-six 3/8" black plastic cubes in original cardboard box marked with catalog number "00330"; cubes have raised braille dots forming the numerals 0-9 on five of the sides.

The Cubarithm was originally introduced by Oury in France in 1886. The Brannan slate was designed by R.E. Brannan of Summit, New Jersey. Brannan turned over his rights to the invention to APH. Original set came with 100 cubes. APH began manufacturing the Brannan cubarithm slate in 1957 and it continues in the catalog to the present day(2009). It was marketed as a braille math tool for primary students.
