Provenance:
APH introduced its Chang Mobility Kit in 1971 as an aid for Orientation & Mobility teachers. The original kit contained 47 forms in 14 shapes and sizes. In 1973, Roy Brothers and Roger Huff at APH led a national conference to explore uses for the kit in other curriculum areas. By 1981, the kit was renamed the Chang Tactual Diagram Kit in its current form, with expanded number and variety of shapes, and a new guide book that included lesson plans in O&M, tactual familiarization, math, social studies, science, and daily living.
