ISAVE (Individualized Systematic Assessment of Visual Efficiency) was developed as a functional assessment tool for "evaluating the potential for visual efficiency of young children, including children with disabilities in addition to a visual impairment." APH low vision specialist Elaine Kitchel was the project director; M. Beth Langley, project author and consultant; and Frank Hayden, production assistant. The product was first made available in October 1999 (FY 2000) and included two binders of printed material with 16 chapters authored by M. Beth Langley, as well as assessment aids such as visual discrimination cards and an occluder; APH catalog no. 7-96169-00.

ISAVE manual drafts: original, 1998; 1999 version; a later 1999 revision; and ISAVE I components (released October 1999 in FY 2000). Also, includes a blank ISAVE Evaluation form, 1995 (folder 33); ISAVE Development Committee notes, 1997-1998 (folder 19); completed product documentation 1999, and 1998/1999 correspondence of Elaine Kitchel and Beth Langley (folder 34), and production documentation for the OccluderPop Pack that includes 1 drawing (folder 35).
