Sepia-toned photo mounted on card stock. Two men are standing on either side of a seated man who is blind and possibly deaf. The seated man is holding, with his right hand, the right hand of the man standing to his left. All of the men are dressed in suits with vests. Picture may have been taken in Civil War era. Printed on the back center of the card is "Whitney's Gallery." in a decorative banner and "Saint Paul, Minnesota. Whitney & Zimmerman, Photographers." At the bottom center is a logo, approximately 3/4 in. at its greatest height and width, containing the letters "NPA." Small stains on the photo and along bottom front edge of card. The carte de visite (CdV) was popular in the United States during the Civil War era as a photographic calling card.
