A sepia-toned photo of an elderly blind man is mounted on gray card stock; head & shoulders portrait. He is wearing a dark jacket and vest and a white shirt with buttoned neckband. A ribbon hangs loosely around his neck and down the front of his vest. He has a mustache and full beard. "Henry Smith, Ed[ina], Mo." is stamped in blue ink above his head. Carte has been trimmed along top edge. "C. E. McElk, Photographer, N.E. Cor. Square, Edina, Mo. Photographs In Every Style. Best Place In The City." --back of carte. Dark spots on photo in the area of his jacket and vest; lightly soiled.
