Sepia photo is mounted on a white card. Photo shows a man seated on an ornate wooden chair. He is holding a cane in his right hand and wears a long coat over a vest and trousers. He has short hair, a full beard with mustache, and is wearing tinted eyeglasses. Printed in the bottom margin is "Weston & Son. Dover & Folkestone." Printed on reverse, at center, is a logo and "Photographed From Life by Lambert Weston & Son. Waterloo Crescent Dover, Sandgate Road, Folkestone." Slight foxing on carte. Cartes de visite were popular during the Civil War era.
