Black-and-white photograph is mounted on a white card and shows a head-and-shoulders portrait of Henry Fawcett, a Cambridge professor who served in the British cabinet. He was blinded in a shooting accident at the age of 25. He is wearing tinted eyeglasses. "Prof. Fawcett, M.P." is printed at the bottom margin. Photographic studio identified on reverse in red ink. At top is printed "Prize medal for protraiture, Vienna Exhibition 1873."
