Scope & Content:
Recording of Soundscriber disks. Side A includes continued transcription by Warren Bledsoe of the draft of his publication "Program Guide, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Dept. of Medicine & Surgery." Also a letter from Russell Williams to Warren Bledsoe dated April 12, 1957 concerning debate over long cane length. Side B includes the second half of William's April 12 letter, discussing the doctors at the Hines VA Blind Center, plus another letter dated May 17, 1957. In the second letter, Williams addresses a wide variety of topics in conversational fashion. At the end of Side B is a letter from Warren Bledsoe to Russell Williams dated April 16-21, 1958. The final letter begins with a discussion of the dispatch of the "survey to the government printing office," but from its abrupt end appears to not have been finished.
