Four section aluminum folding long cane; straight tubes, 1/2" diameter, straight sockets; white nylon cord secures tubes together; black rubber "GOLF PRIDE" putter style grip on straight handle; white nylon wrist loop also serves as part of the tensioning mechanism as it was tightened; white Scotchlite reflective tape; 6" red band above 1/2" white nylon friction-fit pencil tip.

1972 sales flyer: "The RIGID-FOLD Cane was developed by an Orientation and Mobility Specialist familiar with requirements of a good cane--one that would endure continued use in the 'Hoover Touch Techniques." The flat side of the putting grip was marketed as a "reminder grip handle." The cord tensioning device in the handle was unique to the Rigid Fold.
