Place of Origin:
Louisville, KY
Provenance:
APH introduced a script letter board to teach the cursive writing form in 1963. The original version was black. By 1990, it had been redesigned in white plastic and was thicker (1/8"). This example, recovered from the office of Jim Hill in 2007, is similar to the original model with the addition of a silk-screened white paint, which serves to provide contrast to the letters. There is no documentary evidence in the catalogs, however, that this version of the product was ever marketed. It might be an experimental prototype.
