Provenance:
Introduced in 1999 to replace the APH Variable Speech Control Module. The Speech Expressor was a digital version of the same device, which allowed the user to increase the speed of playback on a tape player while keeping pitch and tone at acceptable levels. The feature had been designed into various APH cassette player/recorders over the years. Out of catalog by 2005.
