Introduced to the APH catalog in 1971, initially the beads were made of wood. In 2004, they were redesigned in molded plastic. Introduces a variety of concepts, including shape, color, and texture. Also assists in the development of muscular and eye-hand coordination. This example purchased for a museum program in 2017.
