Two black plastic rectangles screwed together with eight black Phillips-head screws, rounded posts on the corners serve as feet; both pieces are pierced with holes for ten 6-dot braille cells, and a white peg in each hole can be depressed from above or raised from below to create a braille dot; a depression in each peg holds it in place once its position is changed; APH logo cast into each side on the right.

Paperless device designed to help teach beginning users of the braille slate. Introduced in 1994. A frame is mounted with pegs that represent the braille dots in 10 braille cells. A finger is used to push the pegs down. The frame is then flipped over to read the braille message. Made of black plastic with white plastic pegs for high contrast. This example was displayed in the APH Product Display Room, 1994-2017.
