Plaster cast mold inside a black wooden frame; map is hand painted and covered with shellac or varnish; shows South Central Asia, including Tibet, India, Assam, and Afghanistan; entire Himalayan mountain range is shown, along with principal cities and rivers of the region; rivers are not discernible by touch; includes paper print labels that were cut and glued to the map surface as well as hand-inked labels.
