Scope & Content:
George Gill became a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Printing House for the Blind (APH) in 1981, while he was the CEO of the Courier-Journal (Louisville, Kentucky) newspaper. He served as APH board chairman from 1997-1999. He talks about changes in board/corporate management relations over the years, the company's strengthening of its financial management, and APH's early compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Act.
