Pat Packer, a braille materials planner at the American Printing House for the Blind, talks about joining the company in 1971, when she started in APH's then-Editorial Department where she compiled lists of braille and large type books for the company product catalogs and also ran an offset press. She recalls the introduction of computer systems for data entry and also describes the current materials planning process used in braille production.
