The black and white photo is mounted on a white card. It shows a man, who is standing, dropping a large coin into a cup that is held by a seated "blind" man. Both men are dressed in dark jackets, vests, and trousers and are wearing dark brimmed hats. The "blind" man is seated on a prop, which looks like a log, and has a sign that reads "Please help the blind" around his neck. He is holding a cup in his right hand and a cane in his left. The donor is holding a cigar in his left hand. "A. P. Newdick" is printed on front of card at bottom center, with "114 S.Spring St." at bottom left corner and "Los Angeles Cal." at bottom right corner. Back of card is blank. Card is slightly soiled; photo is slightly soiled at bottom corners and has a small pinhole-size indentation in right leg of seated man.
