Sepia-toned photo is mounted on a white card with a gilt double-line border. Photo shows a man standing next to a natural wood prop. His right hand is resting on the top of the wood. His eyes are closed; vendor identifies him as being blind. He is dressed in a dark jacket, matching vest, white shirt, and dark-colored pants. His hair is short. Back of carte is blank. Top left corner is dog-eared; photo was not trimmed carefully and covers some of the gilt border. Cartes de visite were popular during the Civil War era.
