Description:
The photo is mounted on a white card with a single black-line border. It shows a young girl sitting on a wicker chair, her right leg tucked beneath her, next to a short-haired dog. Her left arm appears to be around the dog. She is wearing high-top, button-up shoes and a light-colored dress with short puffy sleeves and layered yoke. On her right wrist is a bracelet, and a ring is on the third finger of her right hand. She has a hair bow on both sides of her head. The vendor identifies the girl as being blind. "Rathbun, Linden Studio, Wickford, R. I., Sittings Day or Night." is printed at the bottom margin. The back of the card is blank. Vendor provided circa date. The surface paper is scratched on a portion of the dog, and there are 5 pin holes through the card--4 below the dog's neck and 1 at the right side of his head.
