Sepia-toned photo is mounted on a white card with brown trim. Photo shows a head-and-shoulders portrait of a man wearing dark eyeglasses. He has a full beard and mustache. Printed on the reverse, within a decorative illustration, is "Union Picture Gallery. No. 112 Genesee Street. Auburn, N.Y. S.Hall Morris." The same man appears to be in two other photos in the museum collection; accession 2001.176, 2003.156. Slight foxing on photo. Cartes de visite were popular during the Civil War era.
