Description:
Tintype is mounted in a white, embossed paper mat with a glued paper backing. The image shows a woman, seated at right, wearing dark eyeglasses, a hair ribbon, and a full-length dark dress with full sleeves and lace trim at the cuffs and collar. On her right shoulder rests the hand of another woman who is standing next to her and who is wearing a full-length dark dress with a short, long-sleeved and cuffed jacket. Her hair is in ringlets. The cheeks of both women are tinted. On the back is printed "J. W. Bordon, Photographer, Windsor, N.S. Pictures taken any weather." Mat has yellowed and is rubbed at top left; paper backing is partially loose and missing sections at bottom; tintype has a few scratches and surface is raised at bottom right, with small section missing.
