A blind man is sitting on a fabric-covered chair with fringe trim. He is holding a cane in his left hand. He has a mustache and beard and is dressed in a dark suit with vest. A woman is standing to his left. Her right hand is resting on the top of the chair. She is dressed in a dark, floor-length dress with a bustle, lace collar, and lace-trimmed sleeves. The couple's cheeks and the ribbons hanging from her collar are tinted pink. A backdrop or mural showing an ivy-entwined column is visible in the upper right corner. Metallic gold paint has been applied to the surface on the couple's jewelry. Faded; surface scratches and chips.
