Christopher A. McCoy Selected as Vice President of Production and Logistics for the American Printing House for the Blind
July 24, 2015, Louisville, KY – The American Printing House for the Blind (APH), the world’s largest company devoted solely to researching, developing, and manufacturing products for people who are blind or visually impaired, is pleased to announce that Christopher A. McCoy has accepted the position of Vice President of Production and Logistics.
Chris is responsible for the production of Braille Books, Educational Materials, Large Print Books, Talking Books, Logistics, Purchasing, and Maintenance.
Chris comes to APH with over 20 years experience in production, operations, and executive leadership of large corporations, following 10 years on a nuclear submarine with the U.S. Navy.
His most recent position was as President and Chief Operating Officer CTA Acoustics in Corbin, Kentucky, a company that manufactures and supplies acoustical and thermal insulation materials/parts. It serves the North American automotive industry as a Tier 1 supplier for the transportation industry. Other positions include

- Director Global Operational Excellence at Brady Corporation, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Vice President Global Operations and Integrated Supply Chain – Heavy Vehicle at Dana Corporation Kalamazoo, Michigan

The American Printing House for the Blind, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is the world’s largest company devoted solely to researching, developing, and manufacturing products for people who are blind or visually impaired. Founded in 1858, it is the oldest organization of its kind in the United States. Under the 1879 federal Act to Promote the Education of the Blind, APH is the official supplier of educational materials for visually impaired students in the U.S. who are working at less than college level.
