The Current Status of Physical Education at Schools for the Blind in the USA
Schools for the blind provide well-rounded education programs that include services specifically designed for individuals with visual impairments. However, little is known about current physical education practices at schools for the blind from a research perspective. This information, first presented at the 2016 AER International Conference by Lauren Lieberman, Ph.D., the College at Brockport, and Justin Haegele, Ph.D., Old Dominion University, is a wealth of information guaranteed to make physical education teachers and administrators explore their own characteristics, practices, and facilities.
